A man who was caught sexually assaulting a 4-year-old girl was killed by the girl’s father, Texas police said. The girl and her father were at the abuser’s house for a social gathering, and at one point, the girl was inside the house with the man and he began sexually assaulting her. The father happened to enter the house and saw the assault, and he repeatedly punched the attacker in the head, killing him. Lavaca County Sheriff Micah Harmon said they aren’t charging the father, as it was “defense of his third person,” but a grand jury could decide to bring charges.
    Quote of note
"Ronald Reagan would have, based on his record of finding accommodation, finding some degree of common ground, as would my dad – they would have a hard time if you define the Republican party – and I don't – as having an orthodoxy that doesn't allow for disagreement, doesn't allow for finding some common ground." – Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, talking about how former President George H.W. Bush and Reagan wouldn’t have fit into today’s Republican Party.
