“What’s on your mind” is a new feature to the Villager that debuted last week which poses a question to our readers about local issues within the North Pocono and surrounding communities.

Last month we published an article written by correspondent Rob DeFilippi, that discussed concerns expressed at the Clifton Twp. Board of Supervisor’s meeting regarding a ground water withdrawal application that was applied for by Nature’s Way Purewater Systems, Inc., to the Susquehanna River Basin Commission.

It was reported that the application, if approved, would allow Nature’s Way to take up to 99,999 gallons of water per day from a bore hole on Blair Hill in Covington Twp.

However, Nature’s Way is claiming they only intend on taking approximately 30,000 gallons of water per day, as that would be the maximum capacity of the silos that will be built.
