A memorial service is scheduled for Jean E. Thomas of Elmhurst and Boca Raton, FL, who died on Feb. 3, 2011, in Florida. Services led by the Rev. Harry McElroy along with Rev. Rupert B. Harris will be held on Saturday, July 16 at 2 p.m. in the Elmhurst Presbyterian Church, Maple Street, Elmhurst. Soli Deo Gloria.
Betty William Harris, 93, died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2010 at St. Mary’s Villa Nursing Home in Elmhurst following a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rupert.
It is a long standing tradition of the Pike County Bar Association (PCBA) to honor a deceased member by holding a memorial service in court where members have an opportunity to share their memories. A transcript of the proceeding will be made and presented to the family.
