Madisonville fire truck catches fire

On Jan. 26, at approximately 7 p.m., firefighters with the Madisonville Independent Fire Company were responding to a carbon monoxide alarm in the North Pocono area when a blaze broke out in the truck’s engine compartment. The cause of the fire was unknown at the time, but it was said to have been possibly due to an electrical issue. The township has another truck to respond to emergency calls, along with receiving assistance from surrounding areas. No injuries were reported.
