Lowe’s Companies, Inc. has announced the opening of their newest store -Lowe’s of Mt. Pocono, which officially opened its doors to the public on Thursday, Jan. 12, at 6 a.m.
Located at 3207 Rt. 940, Mt. Pocono, the new home improvement store has 103,000 square feet of retail sales space, with an adjacent garden center, stocking 40,000 different items to help customers build, improve and beautify their homes.
A store of this size represents an average investment in the community of more than $16.5 million and creates an average of 125 new jobs.
On Thursday, Jan. 19, at 10 a.m., Lowe’s of Mt. Pocono will hold their Grand Opening festivities including Lowe’s Board Cutting ceremony.
Also taking place will be Gift Card Match Day - Buy a Gift Card, Help Build a Home. When you purchase a Lowe’s Gift Card on Thursday, Jan. 19, the store will match purchases up to $5,000 to support the Monroe County Habitat for Humanity’s next building project.
And finally, on Saturday, Jan. 21, at 10 a.m., the store will feature the Tic Tac Toe Board Build & Grow Project. Lowe’s conducts Build and Grow clinics bi-weekly as a way for parents and adult mentors to spend quality time with their children—free of charge.
The clinics are recommended for children in grades two to five, and each clinic provides hands-on instruction to approximately 50 children. To sign-up for the bi-weekly Build and Grow workshops at a local store, visit lowesbuildandgrow.com.
