Spring Brook Twp. recently launched its first official website - www.springbrooktownship.org - as a way to keep residents informed of information pertinent to them and the township.

“Residents occasionally asked if we had a website, which we haven’t,” said Supervisor Jack Flyte, “so this is definitely a step in the right direction.”

The website will allow residents access to meeting schedules, recycling and spring clean-up info, permit applications and fees, links to review maps and ordinances, project updates, and general contact information for the township, among other things.

Created and designed by Dan Lanphear, the site cost the township less than $1,000, although there will be fees involved with its upkeep.

“It’s still very much a work in progress,” said township secretary Tami Gillette.

In addition to their website, the township would like to remind residents of vacancies on their zoning hearing board as well as the position of auditor.

“We are looking for residents who are interested in helping serve the municipality and get involved with local government,” explained Flyte.

Anyone interested is asked to call the township office at 842-7028.
