For just a $1 donation, customers at participating Wendy’s restaurants in Northeast and Central PA can receive an all-access pass to six months of free Jr. Frosties while supporting the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption and one of its signature programs, Wendy’s Wonderful Kids.
Through July 31 (or while supplies last), customers can donate $1 for a Frosty key tag and by showing the key tag on subsequent visits to Wendy’s, customers will receive a free Jr. Frosty with any purchase as often as they wish through Dec. 31, 2011.
Wendy’s will donate 50 percent of the net proceeds of key tag sales to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption and the local Wendy’s Wonderful Kids program in Northeast and Central PA.
The other 50 percent of the proceeds will be donated to local chapters of the American Red Cross.
“Every child deserves a family,” said Rita Soronen, president and CEO of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. “Wendy’s Wonderful Kids is our signature, results-driven program and is making a difference for thousands of children – one child at a time.
“We fund the work of adoption professionals in Northeast and Central PA and throughout North America who execute aggressive recruitment efforts targeted exclusively on moving children from foster care into adoptive families.
“Our partnership with Wendy’s and the sale of Frosty key tags makes it easy for people to support our work.”
Steve Kepic, Wendy’s Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Co-op president said, “We strive to keep Dave Thomas’ ideals and beliefs at the heart of the Wendy’s culture.
